Footwear campaigns live or die by one thing: whether the shoe feels desirable in its environment. For this project with Pintta, the answer was to put the product exactly where it does not obviously belong, and let that tension do the work.

An athletics track under hard midday sun. A bare tiled room with a single shaft of light. A stadium bleacher where two people are simply sitting. None of these are conventional settings for a shoe campaign, and that is precisely the point. The contrast between the graphic architecture of each location and the colour and craft of the footwear gives every frame a reason to exist beyond the product itself.

Shot on location in Portugal, the campaign covers the full range of the Pintta collection across men's and women's styles, from sneakers to sandals to leather brogues, always keeping the shoe at the centre without making it feel like a catalogue.
